Canon Larry Wilkes died suddenly this past Monday while working in his yard. Wilkes was the former Canon to the Ordinary, a nominee in our recent
election for the 4th Bishop of Western Louisiana, and up until his death, the Rector
at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, New Iberia.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Epiphany Parish, New Iberia on Saturday, June 2, 2012. There will be visitation in the
parish hall beginning at 12:30 p.m. through the start of the service at 1:30
p.m. Bishop MacPherson will preach and celebrate. A reception will follow in the
parish hall.
Please pray for the repose of Larry's soul, and God's care and love for his wife, Debbie, and the
entire family.
"Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord; And let light perpetual shine upon
him.
May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the
mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."
