Souper Bowl of Caring
This Sunday, February 2, (The Presentation of Our Lord Jesus
Christ in the Temple, Ground Hog Day and Super Bowl Sunday), young folks from St.
Alban’s will collect money for the “Souper Bowl of Caring.” This event raises
money all around the country to be given away locally! We will give our
collection to the Refuge of Hope. Please be generous!

The Great Freeze of 2014
The first pipe broke on January 7 and the second broke on
the 8th. After the pipes were repaired, we removed the wet carpet and
now we are in the process of drying out. Luckily the church had good insurance
and we will be fixed up good as new in no time.
In the mean time, remember that every cathedral in the world
is constantly under repair or construction. So, come on a pilgrimage to St.
Alban’s this weekend and see our repair work underway! It is cheaper that the trip to Europe...

The Epiphany
Today's facebook post from The Episcopal Church...
The Collect for the Epiphany of Our Lord Jesus Christ:
O God, by the leading of a star you manifested your only Son to the Peoples of the earth: Lead us, who know you now by faith, to your presence, where we may see your glory face to face; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Twelfth Night - Epiphany Eve Potluck and King Cake Party
What a great turn-out we had for our Twelfth Night - Epiphany Eve Potluck and King Cake Party! The kids found the Wise men and their Camels in our Scavenger hunt is short order, placed them all in our Nativity Scene and then we read the Collect for Epiphany and the Epiphany story from Matthew's Gospel.
After that, it was off to McLean Hall for food, fellowship and more fun. Every thing was delicious and the conversation even better. If you missed this event - you missed a good one!
Thanks to Archdeacon Kauffman for these great photos!
