St. Alban's was absolutely beautiful on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The Altar Guild and Flower Guild out did themselves. Thanks also to all who donated to the poinsettia fund!
Even the windows were filled with greens and reds and candlelight.
Note also the blankets at the altar rail - made by the Kneeling Needlers and waiting to be blessed.
These photos were taken Christmas morning by Grace H.
The Kneeling Needlers continue their blanket ministry for
cancer patients in the area. Special thanks to Hancock Fabrics for greatly
discounting the fleece used to make the blankets! Join the group any Tuesday
morning at 10:00 a.m. to help!
To date over 50 blankest have been made, blessed
and delivered!
Over $1000 dollars in donations have been
received to continue the work.
Small angels are being made from the scraps of fleece.
One is included on each blanket.Others
were given in exchange for a donation to the project and, to date; the angels
have raised $50.
St. Alban’s will hold its Annual Meeting on January 15,
2012. The meeting will follow the 10:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist. Following the
meeting, we will have lunch in McLean Hall.
We will be electing 3 new vestry members and an
additional vestry member to complete Ben’s unexpired term. We will elect
delegates to next year’s Diocesan Convention. (Note: Our current delegates will
attend the Electing Convention for our new Bishop in April.) If you are
interested in serving, please contact any vestry member. We will also approve our annual budget. Please
mark your calendars now and plan to attend this important event in the life of
our parish.
