Holy Week and Easter



Palm Sunday:
Palm Sunday Holy Eucharist – 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Adult Education – Lord, Teach Us to Pray – 9:15 a.m.

Holy Monday:
Evening Prayer – 6:00 p.m.
Begin Holy Week by joining us as we read Evening Prayer.

Holy Tuesday:
Fr. Whit will be away for the Mass of Collegiality in the morning.
Evening Prayer – 6:00 p.m.

Holy Wednesday:
Tenebrae – 6:00 p.m.

Maundy Thursday:
Holy Eucharist and Foot Washing – 6:00 p.m.
The Maundy Thursday Liturgy is a beautiful service that includes foot washing. Following the Eucharist, we will strip the altar for Good Friday.

Good Friday:
Good Friday Liturgy – Noon
The Good Friday Liturgy remembers the death of our Lord.
Stations of the Cross – 6:00 p.m.
This is a moving service of prayer, reflection and contemplation.

Holy Saturday:
The Great Vigil of Easter - 6:00 p.m.
This is the Church’s ancient first celebration of Easter.
Come and experience this wonderful liturgy with Holy Baptism.

Easter Day:
Easter Day Holy Eucharist – 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
A wonderful celebration of our Lord’s resurrection. Come celebrate with us!
Easter Egg Hunt – 9:15 a.m.
Bring your basket and help us search for eggs and prizes! 

L.E.M. Training

A Lay Eucharistic Minister Training Session will be held for all current and new L.E.M.s on April 28, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. This will be a practical and fun orientation to the specifics of serving at St. Alban’s.

Coming Soon to Adult Ed...


Our next Adult Education Class begins on April 22, 2012 at 9:15 in the Conference Room. We will read and discuss Your Bible! The Study Begins.

Your Bible! The Study Begins offers an introduction to the library of books which are the foundation of our faith and provides a refreshing orientation to the Book and opens a door of understanding to all other Bible study.  In seven, sessions, we’ll explore basic issues with contents including:  
  1. What Is the Bible?
  2. How Did the Bible Come to Be?
  3. What is the Old Testament About?
  4. What is the New Testament About?
  5. How Has the Bible Been Preserved and Handed On?
  6. How Shall We Study the Bible?
  7. What Is the Place of the Bible in Our Lives?

D.O.K. Training


The Daughters of the King will host the last of its Lenten training and spiritual growth classes on Saturday, March 24, 2012, in the Conference Room of the church.

The session will be lead by Deacon Bette and will incorporate both the DOK training and additional study material on prayer. The session begins at 9:30 a.m. with coffee and a snack and ends at around noon with a light Lenten lunch. Participation in the sessions does not obligate anyone to become a Daughter of the King. All are welcome!
