Vacation Bible School Underway

We began our 2012 Vacation Bible School - Babylon - Daniel's Courage in Captivity on Sunday, July 15, in the early evening. We had lots of rain, but even more fun - snug and dry in the church and McLean Hall, which was transformed into Babylon with shops and a wonderful food court. Baptism

St. Alban's will welcome two new young people to the Church on Sunday, July 15, 2012. We will celebrate Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist at the 10:30 a.m. liturgy. Please join us for this special occasion and renew your own baptismal vows!

Babylon Vacation Bible School Begins Sunday

Join us on Sunday, July 15, 2012 in Babylon, where we will explore what life was like for Daniel and his friends as captives in a strange land. You’ll craft cool projects in the Marketplace, laugh as you play games, sing fun songs, visit with Daniel, and eat interesting food in the Food Court. Plus, you’ll make lots of new friends!

The folks from St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church  will join us for our adventure to work and play.

·         Location – St. Alban’s Episcopal Church and McLean Hall

·         The adventure will last – Sunday, July 15 – Thursday, July 19

·         Celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. (5:00 p.m. on the 15^th for registration) and ends at 7:30 p.m.

Babylon V.B.S. Workday

Workers from St. Alban's and St. Thomas' will join forces to set up for Babylon Vacation Bible School. We will begin work on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. Doughnuts and a Pizza lunch will be provided.  We should be finished a little after lunch. Join us for the fun!

Independence Day

The Collect for Independence Day - Lord God Almighty, in whose Name the founders of this country won liberty for themselves and for us, and lit the torch of freedom for nations then unborn: Grant that we and all the people of this land may have grace to maintain our liberties in righteousness and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Office Closed on the 4th of July

St. Alban's office will be closed on Independence Day, July 4, 2012. Regular office hours resume on July 5, 2012.

Even though the office will be closed, we will celebrate Holy Eucharist on July 4 using the proper readings for Independence Day at 5:30 p.m. Please join us and have a safe and happy 4th of July!
