Great turnout tonight for our second Wednesday Eucharist and Supper. Thanks to everyone at St. Alban's who made this event so great!

Tonight is St. Alban's night to host the Monroe Episcopal Churches for Eucharist and Supper! Holy Eucharist begins at 6:00 p.m. and a delicious supper follows. Join us!

While working on our fountain today, our sexton, Chris Eby, meet the resident manager - who he dubbed Jeremiah!

Blowing Up the Church

Blowing Up the Church is an opportunity for Christian Formation leaders from the congregations in our diocese to come together at Camp Hardtner to create stronger bonds, exchange ideas and resources, and hear a dynamic speaker who will challenge us to think and talk creatively about what Formation for children, youth, and adults can look like in our diocese.  

Fr. Whit and a group of four parishioners will travel to the event from St. Alban's. Expect a full report on Sunday!

Our First Wednesday Eucharist and Supper at Grace

Great kick-off to our Wednesday night Eucharists and Suppers. Grace served a delicious meal. Their choir sang beautifully and the Bishop gave a fine sermon. 

About 110 attended and St. Alban's was well represented. Next Wednesday - we at St Alban's will host.

Lenten Eucharist and Supper

Our first Lenten Eucharist and Supper will be held tomorrow night, Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Grace Episcopal Church. The celebrant and preacher will be the Rt. Rev'd Jacob W. Owensby, Ph.D., D.D.. Eucharist begins at 6:00 p.m. and supper follows. Join us!

Early Tuesday morning at St. Alban's - beautiful! Remember that today is the first Lenten lunch at Grace - Archdeacon Kauffman will speak at Noon.

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 a.m. this Sunday, March 9 - Spring forward one hour before bed on Saturday night.

St. Alban’s is working on updating our member directory. This directory includes family names, phone numbers (home and cell), mailing address, email, birthday and anniversary information.

Please check your information on the sample pages in the parish hall, if it is okay – please indicate that you’ve checked with a check-mark or initials. If changes need to be made, just cross out and correct the information. Thanks so much!

St. Alban’s Shuttle Committee

St. Alban’s is forming a committee of people interested in providing a regular ride to church for people who cannot drive themselves. The group would be arranged on a rotational schedule and perhaps give a ride to one or two people once a month. This service would be provided for the 10:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist. You should have a vehicle that is appropriate for this purpose, because the folks who need a ride may have limited mobility.

Ash Wednesday, March 5

Each year, we begin Lent on Ash Wednesday. This year, St. Alban’s will have Ash Wednesday Holy Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes at Noon and 6:00 p.m. 

Please make plans to join us.

Shrove Tuesday - Pancake Supper, March 4

Join us at 6:00 p.m. in McLean Hall on Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras, for our annual pancake supper. We will have pancakes, ham, and drinks. You bring your favorite toppings. It will be fun for the whole family. We may even eat our last bit of King Cake!
